What readers say

I don't care who you are or what you're into. EVERYONE should read this monster of a book and see for themselves. This world is not hopeless. Not when we have such minds in it. Of course, that means we all need to step up to the plate and don't let bias, willful ignorance, or intellectual dishonesty win.

I think that the biggest benefit is that I now see word more clearly as what is actually is, and not what I think it is, thanks to my continuous attempt to eliminate cognitive biases inspired by the book. It also gives me a vocabulary to talk about some concepts I couldn't verbalize before.

I'm quite confident it's helped me consistently ask better questions and refuse to accept incomplete answers, with major implications for self directed study.

it taught me the proper use of humility; teaching me when to be humble, and when to be confident. As someone who paradoxically struggles with both arrogance and self esteem issues, this was life changing.

Sound like a self-help book? It isn't. Or, at least, any of us could use it that way, but to me, it's probably the single-most-useful, courageous, funny, and excruciatingly smart book I've read in a very long time.

You will learn that being rational and logical does not equal being inhuman, cold or oblivious to the social environment around you, as Hollywood would have it. On the contrary, you will learn more about yourself, other people and the way humans work, and how to improve the quality of life of yourself and those around you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How often will I receive emails?

You'll receive one email per day, each containing a new blog post from the rationality sequences.

Can I unsubscribe anytime?

Absolutely. Just drop an email at rationalitynewsletter@gmail.com and we'll remove you from the list.

How long are the blog posts?

Most posts can be read in 10-15 minutes. Perfect for your morning coffee or commute.

Do I need any background knowledge?

Not at all! The sequences are written to be accessible to anyone interested in thinking more clearly.

What made you decide to start this?

I thought this would be a more convenient and accessible format to read the (very long) collection of blogs, and wanted to convince my friends to start reading it too. Reading 1 blog post everyday is easier than even starting a 2000-page book.
